Missions

We are engaged in several mission areas and other good works:

***** Al Horne is supported as he works in South Africa. The Memorial Road Church of
           Christ in Houston oversees his work and we are pleased to send $250 each month
           to help in this great work. They are currently building a library for the South African
           Biblical Studies and it will be called the Al and Donna Horne Library. This family
           has supported this work for many years.

***** Sunny Glen Children's Home - the church makes a monthly contribution to the
           children of Sunny Glen. We are confident that this money is used for the welfare
           of the children. We contribute $120 each month to this good work.

***** Medina Children's Home -- we send $100 each month to this good home as they care
           for children brought to them. We are happy with what we see from the home each
           year.

***** World Bible Translation -- recently, due to a letter from the First Lady of Uganda, our
          Shepherds made a one time gift of $500 to help in the publishing of Bibles for the
          people of Uganda.

***** World Bible School -- each month we send a contribution to the school so that it may
          continue to produce results for our Lord.

***** Senior Citizens Lunch -- each month our ladies play host to the Senior Citizens of
          Live Oak County, Texas. Our ladies plan, prepare and serve a delicious lunch that
          provides everyone with a balanced meal. Many of our ladies are engaged in this
          activity and take turns with planning, preparation, serving and clean up.
